How close
to the beach?
Essex has plenty of beautiful beaches, and as a St Lawrence Holiday
Home owner, you’re just a few yards away from a stretch of private
Beach with our own launching ramp.
Are you pet friendly?
Yes, we love dogs, cats, rabbits, so as long as it’s not a classified
dangerous breed, you’re welcome to bring them. (Nb: if you’ve
got a half breed that looks like a dangerous breed, I’m afraid
that’s not allowed either – some of our guests won’t
know the difference. Please see our terms and conditions for full
details.)
Can you buy to let?
For many of our owners, the peace and quiet of St Lawrence Bay is
one of the main reasons they chose us as a destination. Allowing owners
to let their Holiday Homes would change the dynamic considerably with
different families arriving and departing regularly. For this reason
we've decided that inviting buy to let investors to the development
would be detrimental to the relaxed atmosphere of our Park - one of
it's most powerful attractors.
Can our family and friends come and stay?
Absolutely, just so long as you make it available free of charge.
Are there any Holiday Homes or lodges to suit disabled people?
Yes, we can tailor make a lodge to suit your exact needs.
How long does a lodge or Holiday Home last?
Lodges are built to residential standards so it really depends how
well you look after it, with proper care they’ll last a lifetime.
Holiday homes are built to a BS specification and we have a number
of units that have been owned by the same people dating back to 1984,
and still going strong.
How long is the licence?
There is no upper limit to the length of time you can keep a Holiday
Home at St Lawrence, we just ask that you keep the Holiday Home safe
and in a good state of repair. In order for us to maintain high standards
on the park we do have a checking system, so after 10 years we’ll
inspect the unit to make sure it meets our reasonable requirements,
then at 20 years, and annually thereafter. So long as the unit is
up to standard, your licence will continue on.
Can we live in our Home all year round?
St Lawrence Holiday Park has a holiday licence which means that you
can’t use your lodge as a main residence. You can stay in your
lodge up 10 months of the year, but you need to be paying council
tax at a separate address to prove you are meeting the requirements
of the law.
When is the site open?
The site is open for owners 10 months of the year. We close for two
months in the new year.
What facilities are there for children?
St Lawrence and its surrounding towns and villages have lots of facilities
for all ages, including children. There’s a soft play centre
and numerous kiddy clubs that young children will love. Ridding, water
sports and an excellent water park, bowling & roller rink, and
leisure pool in Maldon.
